Welding Neck Flange
In this type of flange, there is a tube-like part or neck as the body of the flange; the diameter of the end of this neck is the same as the diameter of the pipe. Due to their unique shape, welding neck flanges do not physically create a pressure difference at the connection point compared to other points of the tank. On the other hand, usually, the diameter of the neck part is designed to correspond to the diameter of the pipe. As a result, they do not disrupt the material flow and do not change the shape of the parts around the connection point. In addition to the above, due to the specific shape, even if these flanges cause leakage or any other problems in susceptible installations, it is possible to detect the leakage or problem using radiographic photos in real-time. These flanges are specifically designed for use in harsh environmental conditions such as very high/low temperatures and extremely high pressures.
